“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.”
Rumi (Goodreads quotes)

“And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end … because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was..? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing … this shadow. Even darkness must pass.” JRR Tolkien The Two Towers

  1. The way the surrounding dark hugs your form gives a very intimate, “private peek” feel to your photo. As a viewer, I feel {a} privileged to be seeing this moment unfold, but also as though {b} I am intruding on a private moment that I shouldn’t be watching.

    Very voyeuristic. Nicely done.

  2. WOW, Indie – This shot is incredible. I love the quotes you chose but even more so I love the edit you used in this shot. It is stunning – I love the little peeks of your flesh we get, I love how the light/edit highlights your body and the little buckle in your shoe! This is a really awesome shot x

    • Thanks LSB! I’ve been itching to use this shot but felt the original needed something extra. The extremes of dark and light somehow fit the bill, and matched my mood. I appreciate the feedback 💐

    • Thank you, its a filter, the original is no-where near as wonderful, but this edit certainly fitted my mood, and I’m rather pleased with it…

  3. Indigo, this is stunning. Really exceptional photography of a beautiful woman. I love how you are appearing and disappearing into the shadows at the same time.
